Our family has always used the 30-06, and my father and grand father recommended the caliber.

I use my old Marlin 30-30. There is just something about it... It's classic, "old school", and just has a historical vibe to it, to where I feel like I am part of a long list of deer hunters who have carried the "thutty-thutty" for generations.

Had been using a Marlin 30-30.

Traded it last year for a Savage .270 [8D]

I shoot a Browning BBR in 270 caliber most of the time.
Sometimes I use my Weatherby in 30-06 caliber.
I reload and they shoot almost identical.

I just purchased for my TC Encore a 7mm REM MAG. I've been using a Remington bolt action 30-06 for years.
