Bullets

I reloadbut wondering if it is still the best way to go. With todays tech know how it seems the bullet makers are putting out some great shooting ammo that rivals the hand load. Now I understand that if you shoot a lot it is more economical to make your own bullets.
How many of you reload and do you think it's still worth it?

I find it’s definitely worth it when shooting cartridges that are not common or have a poor selection...

I think the primary value of reloading is if you shoot competitively. I reload for my 12 gauge when shooting sporting clays, and for my .45 for IPSC competitions. When you are shooting 100 to 300 rounds per week, the savings from reloading add up. As far as for hunting purposes, I hunt deer and varmints at locations where the ranges aren't going to exceed 100 yards by much. I just don't shoot my rifles enough to make it financially viable, and the factory loads work just fine for me. I shoot Winchester Super X 150 gr Power Points in my 700 ADL .30-06, and Remington Express 100 gr PSP Core Lokt's in my 700 ADL .243, and I'm capable of 1" groups with the factory loads in my 06, and sub .75" groups with the factory loads in my .243.
