Hunting bedding areas on opening day

I put up a stand that directly over hangs a fairly large bedding area in some very thick cover. It was not mypreference to hang it exactly there, but lack of options, given the tight cover and lack of large enough trees led to my putting it there.
My question to others is the following. Shoud I hunt it in the morning or afternoon/evening of rifle season opener? These deer will have been undisturbed up until opener, and then I am sure that they will be moving quite a bit as the day unfolds. I was leaning toward leaving it alone in the morning and moving to it in the early afternoon. Does this sound sensible? What would others sugggest? Thanks in advance.

i would first have to ask if you know how many deer in that particular bedding area?? do they tend to be there early in the morning or is it an afternoon bedding spot??

i usually hunt near bedded areas later in the afternoon, unless i know i can get in without being heard or seen, then i will walk in very early...

RE: Hunting bedding areas on opening day

Good question. I really do not know how many deer, but there were easily 10-12 beds, so likely a few. I am leaning toward actually going in very early in the morning, at least 90 minutes prior to sun up. Thanks.
