Hunting in Rain.

It has been raining all night and all day. Is it worth my time to go sit in a tree stand this evening.

I would definately say yes. I'd rather hunt in the rain, snow, sleet, almost any time otherthan in a blowing wind. Good luck to you.

I would rather hunt on rainy days myself.Go to walmart and buy one of the tree unbrellas it's one of the best things you can carry in your pack. They cost @ $10.00 and only weight a pound.

With a firearm, absolutely, but not with a bow.

IMHO a gloomy drizzle is ideal. Besides, its the only thing I enjoy doing outside on days like that...I hate working in it.

Deer move alot in lite drizzle. They move alot right after a good rain too. I love to be in the standat these times.

I love hunting in the rain. Not a hard one but a drizzle or light rain is ideal. I have seen lots of nice bucksmoving at this time.

I could not agree more. Points well taken!

And yes, deer do move a lot in light rain and drizzle but to me, the absolute best time to be in the woods is immediately after it has rained heavy for several days. It seem that every deer in the woods is up and moving.

To answer the question...If it has been raining hard for several days and is still raining, I would not expect tosee much activity. Then again, I would see NO acitivity is I was not in the woods.
