First, start at 25 yards and shoot a 3 shot group with sandbags or preferably a gun vise. The gun should not be moving. If it is, figure out a way for that gun to be absolutely rock solid. If you cant shoot a sub 2" group at 25 yards, something is wrong. Change ammo (are you sure it is the correct ammo?). If still there is a problem with another manufacturer of ammo, take it to a gunsmith and have it checked out. A gunsmith fried of mine sold a guy a 270 and when the guy shot it, the bullets were tumbling at 50 yards. Turns out, the gun was stamped .270 and the caliber was .308 or something. The manufacturer took it back and gave him a new one.

hey bigredneck if it has a bolt then take it out and site down the inside of your barrel at something about 40ft then look thru your raw sites, you might also check to make sure that all your bolts and screws are tight.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
