Deer Calls
Last season was the first time I tried using calls. Not really sure if theyworked all thatwell - thoughI filled my tags (had to do more with location and placement than the calls).
I did some more readingand attendedseminars and am as confused as ever as to what, how and when, not to ment all the calling products on the market. Do you guy have any adviceor can you pointme to some good links/DVD's etc, so I can get better at calling?
Thx.

RE: Deer Calls
Sure I'll tell ya my thoughts and share some advice.
Get yourself a Tru Talker and learn how to use it with this call you can mimick a fawn bleat , doe bleat , young buck and old buck now this will take some practice but you'll be able to master it within days.
Now : when to use them in the early season use a fawn and doe bleat every 20 to 30 minutes or so , the diffrence between the two is the fawn should be a higher pitch it sound like a sheep making a baahh sound and make this sound three times every 20 to 30 minutes.
Now with the young / old buck gunts these calls should sound like your burping : uurrp uuurrrp uuurrrp but don't make them real fast take it slow.
Again the diffrence between the two is the older buck should sound deeper and do this threes time every 20 to 30 minutes also.
I hope this advice and information helps in some way and I also wish you a safe and happy hunting season.
