Well, we dont open till the 30th...But i went down to my stand and my dog showd up when i was scouting so i just came back up to the house!

We opened here in NJ last Saturday, the 9th. I had a firemen's parade to march in and could not get out in the morning and the afternoon was too hot....but I plan to escape from work this Friday at 3:30PM to try my luck and then maybe Saturday afternoon once the kids are done with their sports and the wife is happy with my list of chores completed.

I'm twisting in my office chair each day counting down the minutes until I can get into the woods, up the tree and wait. Arrows, bow, knife, gambrel, freezer all ready!

our primative weapon starts 10-14..

i say this as my wife and i are watching a 6 point, doe and fawn feed in
field next door..

Well I killed 2 this weekend. One about 4 foot long and one about 5 foor long. 1 cottonmouth and 1 timber rattler. I was on the way to my stand Sat. afternoon and stepped on the cottonmouth and then Sun. afternoon I was driving to my stand and the rattlesnake was crossing the road between 2 cotton fields. So I got out and killed him with the pole saw. He had 5 rattles and a button. I saw no deer this weekend, but my buddy took a cull deer....a retarded 3-point.

well my opener started out in n.d sept1st ., saw some bucks but not that big saw lots of does but not goin to shoot one of them yet., nothing down in brown but having a blast in the woods., oh yes 2 nights ago my garage got broke into and yes they stold my bow,arrows,and caseit was in., so now im bowless till tonight ., good luck to all and be safe!!

I went Monday Morning, and Tuesday, Morning and evening, so farI have seen 5 turkey, 1 fox, 3 does, and one 4 pointer that would have been on the wall. He was the largest 4 I have ever seen. He had a huge wide rack, but only tines, and main beems. So not so bad of a start if I can get a shot off. LOL
