never hunted before farm please read
Tonight i shot and missed a 6 pointer at this farm the hasn't been hunting for over 20 years and he just stood there...i only2 shells missed twice. he wasn't even freaked until i went over the hill to see if he was still there.(he got freaked because i came over the hill 5 yards from him) will he be back, and do you think there are bigger bucks?(i don't know alot about whitetail im only 14 anf 2nd year out.

Im sure he will be back, I usally will not go back to a stand the very next day. Also, if it is going to rain in a few days, ill wait this will remove any sent usally and give area time to settle down. good luck!

Go to the range and when you return to hunt take more than two rounds of ammo.If you were to wound an animal with no spare ammo it would not be a good situation.

i went to the range with my gun like a week ago and it works great but i didn't have the money to buy sabot slugs for it so i had to use my sidebyside with reg. slugs. i have sabots now so im ready.

Sabots won't shoot any better out of a smooth bore than rifled slugs will. And a side by side is not too good for deer because there is no way to aim it. And if you swith ammo you need to sight in with the new ammo, it could hit totaly different.

Oh yeah, how far away was the buck you shot at? Your range with rifled slugs is about 50yds. Less if you are using the bead to aim.
