Meat Grinder Recommendations
I'm thinking about getting started making my own venison burger, sausage, etc. I'd like to stay under $200. What can you tell me?

Cabela's is a start, but if Google meat grinders you will have all kinds to look at.

I got mine out of Bass Pro, but I think Cabelas has the same kind. It is a #10 Porkert Hand Grinder. I don't make a ton of jerky or sausage, but it is a slick little grinder. Have had it for 5 years and still looks and works like its brand new. It will only set you back about $40 and it comes with the sausage stuffer attachments and 3 or 4 different grinding plates.

I have this one. Perfect one or two people.....grinds really fast, I can get 5 or 6 pounds done in 2 minutes or so......never had a problem with it even with really cool (almost frozen) meat. For $100, i think it is well worth it. |
