Licking branches

Does anyone know if a man made licking branch can be started or is this something that the deer will do on their own and not come to a man made branch.
Thanks John F.

First let me welcome you to the board, if you can make a man made scrape there is no reason you can not simulate a licking branch, the thing you must make sure of is that no human scent is left when you make it.
