I shoot a 30 06 and switched to the Winchester Supreme Silver Ballistic Tips this year and have been very pleased. Pinky sized entry wound and I could have stuck both fists through the exit wound. Destroyed both lungs.

I use OO Buck in my 3.5" Benelli SBE. That is all we can use during regular firearms season.
My muzzleloader choice is a .40 cal hornaday pistol bullet in 200 gr. I have a knight super disc .45 cal.

Well with those core lokts my dad uses those in his 270 remington, that he just got last year, i use federal in my 270 that i also got last year. we both use 150 grain both shoot the same out of each of or guns, Last year my dad shot a deer and it went right through her and hit another droping them both, that was luck that he hit the other one but shows those core lokts realy do the job , so far we havent had any disapointments with our 270's.They dont seem to ruin any meat realy and the shrapnel isnt a prob either. Any of yas ever see a 303 brittish that is my grandfathers gun that was handed down to my dad , he finaly put it to rest last year when he got his 270. That 303 realy did a great job and exspecialy long range he used remingtons out of that not sure exactly what. We aslo have an old 35 remington with the 32 remington that they dont make the bullets for any more, and a 32 special winchester , we use remington or federal and havent been let down yet with any of those guns or ammos. Happy hunten

I have always hunted with a 30-30 and use winchester 150g power points. Never had a deer that didn't go down in his tracks. But this year I bought a 30-06. Using 165g win power point I got one 6 point buck at 120 yards he ran about 50 yards after the shot. I ran out of bullets and borrowed a box of rem. 180g pointed soft points. haven't got anything with these yet.

For my handloads, for deer size game I usually use corlokts in 6.5 mm and .308, 140 gr and 165 gr respectively, for load development and range practice. For hunting loads, I prefer Hornady Interlok, SST or Amax, Sierra Gamekings would be my next choice looking at price versus quality. For factory loads the only factory load that I would hunt with would be Hornady Custom or Light Magnum. This is over a range of calibers from .224 to .308 with an 06 being the biggest for deer size game. I'm not saying other factory loads aren't better, but for the price they are the most consistent.
