Default here we go

Just wanted to share with you folks I saw my first fresh tree rub Tues. which means the horns are starting to harden up. I am pumped and ready won't be long now!!

Ours have'nt started here in Tx yet. They will probably start middle of next month.

Where you from Mike? I hope they havent completely started hardening up here in Illinois yet. I still have some nice velvet bucks that need just a little more.

I am from Mass. and I thought it was a little early too but there it was big as life. It was only one but thats how it starts. Now I'm more then ready to go and find him or his daddy or granddaddy. That is of course if I already haven't. I shot a nice 8 point in there last year and a giant 8 point in there the year before. I sure hope this trend keeps going. They are going to build houses in there some day but the envirmental folks have had it tied up for 3 years now, I hope they keep it tied up for ever.

Ihavent seen any rubs, but I did observe a buck scraping while glassing a field of some monsters.

in my area we've still got around 45 to 60 days,but last yr i had one buck that didn't start shedding his velvet til nov. about 30 days late.
