RE: best place to hunt whitetail?

I am going to have to agree with either Wisconsin or Texas.

Illinois don't have any big deer at all.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I know here in MN produces some nice bucks as well with Iowa! All corn fed. Winters can be tuff on a lot of the deer here but only the strong survive. Check the MN DNR Site. According to them the the largest deer ever recorded was taken out of MN. Somewhere around Five Hundred pounds! Monster! Dont know when, but I think it was a long time ago. Check it out.

You're already in good country. You would have to go to Canada or South Texas to find anything compatible to where you are !
