30-06, no contest. Cheaper to shoot, and you have a much greater range. That is JMHO though.

I'd go with the '06 as well. These guys gave you all the reasons already,
More range
Less kick
ALOT cheaper!!!!

We don't have the option of these two in Indiana, no rifles.

How is the 06 cheaper i use the same gun for deer as birds so only need 1 gun and just change shells and barrels but the 06 you have to buy that gun and a shotgun if you want to hunt birds
