Mine is zero'd at 100 yards w/ Remington CoreLokt, 150gr. I am, however, on the lookout for the new ones by Hornady. They've figured out how to make a ballistic tip for side load lever actions. Speeds increased by over 300 fps, and the ballistics don't even compare to the blunt noses we use today.

I've got mine sighted for 100 yd. probably 2" high. It makes 150 yd. shots possible.

I'm shooting the 170 gr Core Lokt soft point Round nose and went out yesterday and mine is shooting about 1 1/2" high at 100 yds with a peep sight. This should give me a zero of about 150 yards (give or take). Remington ballistic software gives -2.39" low at 150 yards with a 100 yd zero for that ammunition.

Heres a link to the ammo that mobow was referring to. Should be pretty deadly even out to 300 yards or so.

when sighting in a 30-30
remember when sighting in a .30 cal rifle you need to let the barrel cool down between shots or you won't have a true zero. .30 cal's are more affected by this than smaller caliber rifles. I had a 30-30 for years and I found that letting it cool down helped achieve true zero. I hope this helps

I am not going to have shots over 100 yards (or take shots over 100 yards with a 30/30 anyway), so I sight in dead on at 100. I have been shooting 150 gr Federal Classics, but I am going to the LeverEvolutions this year.

Yeah Ive looked in to hornadys stuff, and its excellent, but ill just go for remingtons , my shots wont be any more then 150, I asked this question before i got my hands on a ballistic table, so I'll end up going an inch and half high and should be good, THANKS ALOT GUYS.
