What is your opinion on placing a Trail Cam in an area where you are hunting? Do you think that the older, wiser bucks are spooked by them? What about putting the camera where you are feeding deer from a feeder?

many people do it at feeders. just make sure you have a big enough memory card to hold hundreds of pictures.
As for placing it by your stand, I would say go ahead with it. I really have not noticed deer being scared of the flash, they get used to it. I have seen some nice bucks in my cams by my stands.

feeders are an excellent place to put a cam, the deer will spook at first, but with corn they'll get over it quickley, only problem i've encountered is the big boys only visit the feeder at night, (they don't get big being dum). most all of my pics are night ones.within a few weeks you'll know whats in the area, good luck and post some of your big boys.

I have my cam, placed at a food plot about 60 yards from my stand. I use a Cuddeback No Flash, It seems to catch the deers attention, and spooks them a bit, but they calm down and go right back to feeding. Most of the movement that I have seen is at night as well, in fact I haven't had a pic yet during the day.
