Good Time for a Tree Stand Check Up

Too hot to do much else.

One thing in particular caught my attention this year. Always looked for missing or loose parts and just took the welds for granted. Never again.

Very good suggestion Jack, I think I'll get my stands out and give them the once over...

I agree with a 100% on this one , you can never be too safe.
I always check my stands and sticks, every thing else for that matters.
Remember safety first when your standing 20 feet off the ground.

Very good and wise advice, Jack! I always checked and mounted mine 3 or 4ft off the ground and gave them the test. You can survive 3 or 4ft, but 20ft or 25ft?

I haven't done any serious welding for years and am part of the old acetylene(sp) welding days.I do know those welds pictured are pretty crappy by any standard [X(]

I have 2 tripods and just pulled one up/out to relocate.
Better ck that thing after seeing those pix.
