Well, as I said, to me a trophy is a better than average buck for the area or the region.
Honestly where I'm hunting now, thats a dead buck! If I were seeing lots of bucks of that similar size, he'd walk!
Again, he IS legal, and not everyone is a "trophy hunter," nor should/could/would everyone be a trophy hunter! Because true "trophy hunters" need others to take the REAL "culls" and does! "Trophy management," doesn't work any better than "shooting everything you see" if SOMEONE doesn't take the culls and does!

well my thought is he is a very good buck and if you think that he will be around another season then maybe you should wait and see if he will get any bigger

i'd find it hard to shoot those in my backyard if I were the only one around. It's not about killing a young buck. It's killing does for food and letting young buck get older and bigger. Don't shoot it just because you think someone else will if you dont. Wait till next year and pop him.
