Thanks guys for all the offers to help. It's just my luck that I get these kind of pictures in my back yard, and where I lease 160 acres out of over 900 pictures I have only three bucks an no shooters[:@]( Acouple of really nice bears though:)) It's easier to hunt the lease than at home. I miss the mornings taking the kids to school and work 2nd shift, so I miss the eves.. I guess I have to take vacation to hunt at home. [&:]

I'm confused....what do you mean "no shooters"? I saw quite a few in those pics.....wow...you must be blessed if those aren't shooters...I'd love to take a buck like that.

BTW, NICE DEER!

Twoof those probably will be big enough to be "shooters" for me, at least one will. We manage the land by shooting only Does and Bucks that are wider than the ears.

The general rule our group uses is "only shoot a buck you are going to have mounted". If you need meat, shoot all of the does you care to. By letting the bucks get older we see much nicer racks. By thinning out the does it helps with the nutrition of the overall herd.

Younger hunters are encouraged to shoot any deer for there first.

These are guidlines our group uses and everyone has their own way to manage their herd.

So in a nutshell, a shooter is a buck I will have mounted.

I have some horses in one particualt pasture I hunt. Can I expect them to be in the middle of the lick unless it's enclosed?
