Scent Killer
 

I have been told that you should by a bunch of scent stuff for your clothing. But awhile back ago I was able to sneak up on some deer Do you need it and if I do what type of scent killer do I need.

No you don't need to buy a lot of so called scent eliminatiors to enjoy deer hunting. It is far more important that you hunt the wind. If the wind is blowing from the deer's direction to you there is no way he can smell you. Lot of people on this forum as well as most of the people I hunt with use this method and we kill a lot of deer.. Welcome to the board....

timber is right. always mind the wind its the only time tested method. but lol and heres the inevidable but. but it doesnt hurt to take extra precautions in eliminating scent. cover scent such as the hs products are great and if you can afford scentlok is awesome. especially for bowhunting. i layer in scentlok and take all precautions and actually im a bit ocd when it comes to scent control to better my chances but nomatter what i always hunt the wind.

Buy a 50 cent box of baking soda and put it in the washer at the start of the rinse cycle , that's about as "scent free" as your clothing is ever gonna be . Now that you've got that out of the way , keep the wind in your face , stay silent , and don't move .
