shooting house

i recently attained permission to hunt again this year on some private land. in attainng permission i asked to put up a shooting house at the edge of a large field where several scrapes were last year.the owner agreed under the condition i remove it at the end of the season which is not a problem for me.when i built the house it is a 5x5 square,5ft tall with camo burlap on the outside. it is constructed in 2 halfs with door hinges in the corners for folding flat.once on site simply unfold and use 2 screws thru "L" brackets in the other corners to hold it all together.it can be erected on site in 10 minutes or less.i was thinking of putting this up around the middle of the month so the deer can become accustomed to it. does anyone disagree with the timing of placement and if so why.i open to all suggestions any one of you seasoned hunters can give because GOD only knows if my family depended on me for meat we would die.thanks everyone for your help. its good to have a place like this for help and suggestions.

RE: shooting house

I think the sooner the better for putting up any permanent stand in the openas long as the land owner is ok with it. A minimum of 4 weeks before season if he has a problem with you putting it up now.

Can you post some drawings of your blind design, sounds intersting? Thanks!

I would put it up as soon as I could. Keep in mind dominant winds and your approach route to the groundhouse. Putting it up on short legs would help with visibility..

The sooner the better as long as the owner said it was ok.
I rather use my Double Bull T-5.

I would get it out now.I love the Double Bull blinds and I have two; but no way in hell amleaving them out for extended periods to get weathered, sunfaded, and worse of all ripped off. WAAAAY too expensive.HCH
