Default Buck Ahead Of Schedule **PICS**

Here are some pictures of the buck that I mentioned in an earlier post. It seems that he is way ahead of schedule on growing. It also seems that he is growing a really strange rack. I know this deer from last year and that right side has really changed within a year--don't know why either. What does everyone think about the amount of growth so far--will he grow much more or is he almost done?

Sweet! I think he's only going to go a few inches more though at most. the 'bulbs' on the ends of the tines aren't that big anymore...when they fade away the rack starts hardening. Neat deer, would a body injury cause that deformation?

Looks like he has a double main beam on the passenger side.

Great pictures. I would say he has been eating well. I read a article last year or the prior year talking about non-typical rack and how they form. The author mentioned that during early formation, the deer could have had some type of minor accident to the antler area. Then it causes his antlers on that side to become non-typical. Just a thought.

Wow! I haven't put my camera out at our club yet, but the bucks behind my house are not near that far along in antler growth.

I don't think the antlers are done growing, they have a couple of months yet.
The one deer with the odd rack might be get to be real good shooter.

Good Luck
