tenpnt, here is my 2005 Dryden, Ontario buck. Around the same area you will be hunting, about a half an houe or so away. We didn't see alot of deer, but the ones we saw were nice. We went 6 for 6 and the lowest scored 123 3/8. Mine in the picture was the biggest of our group, he score 149 6/8. He was 300lb deer. I used to guide at a fishing camp north of Kenora. Its big bush country but has tons of different stage clear cuts. South of Kenora its mixed forest and some agricultural fields towards Dryden and Rainy Lake. The deer there are huge. I've been tempted on driving out there too for a deer hunt. Like previosly mentioned the quality of the deer is impresive. Big thick racks and huge bodies.Good Luck.

I guided for Canada North Lodge, its on the Woman river system. Its more north of Dryden then Kenora.
