Guys,

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and maybe some of you were able to spend some quality time outdoors with close family/friends.

My weekend could have been better. I will not go into it. All I will say is that I am sore and tired and that my left shin basically has no skin on it whatsoever. Pain.

I would love to hear what each of you did in the outdoors this weekend, keeping in ind that this is a deer hunting board. I do not want to hear about any pic nics or family fun day events here - but rather what you did to better your chances at harvesting a mature buck this fall.

Again, guys, I hope all is well with each of you and that you had a tereific weekend with your families.

Set up some trail cams. Checked a couple of ladder stands that I left out. One of them had a giant tree fall on it and crush it to pieces. I was kind of glad it happened when I wasn't sitting in it.

i helped a friend build a shed for another weekend. it was supposed to only take one weekend, but it ended up taking 4!!!!!!!!!!!! its all done now, and i got really really reallly really bad sunburn. i guess you could call me a true redneck!

Sat ona sports chair while the people I hired planted a 20 acre food plot.The wife was making me a gillie suit and I helped empty the freezer of some deer steak to make room for this falls wallhanger.

MT Hands has demanded it and we each will give it to him. TDWW come over to the offseason and forget about these few cry babies. You know who you are. I busted the mouth out of 15 bass and wresteled with the wife on the picnic blanket. Respect. The deer hunting woods are hot and humid.

i made a $150 dolla in a flounder fishing tourney and will buy a fletching jig to help me put the blazers on my arrows. i killed a snake because i dont want my dogs round them and scared off the turkey that i couldnt see al turkey season today while he was goin to the roost ( at least he is still alive) and plse dont lock the posts mods i promise we will behave (respect)

I spent all weekend working in my yard so I will have more time in the up and coming months to pursue mature bucks.

TDWW hope ya heal up pretty soon sounds pretty painful i will give u some (respect) for doing whatever you did. Anyway, saturday I was fishing with my dad all afternoon caught some good bass and 23 bluegill so it was a decent day. Then sunday started workin with the bow to get it sighted in but just ended up walkin through a buddies woods all day looking for sign. Looks like ive got 2 more places to hunt this fall.


btw TDWW if you wouldnt mind id like to know what you did to ur leg.

I would have loved to do something productive deer hunting wise but being on another continent right now it is hard to...[:@][&:]:eek:...does daydeaming:D help?

I sat in my cousin's front yard in Bonita Springs, FL. and drank Budweiser and caught catfish and mangrove snappers out of the Imperial River. I even hooked a 20 pound tarpon.SaturdayI cooked softshell turtle sauce piquante and chicken, sausage, and shrimp gumbo. I tried to wrestle a gator, but none of them wanted any part of Lanse.I even get respect in the animal kingdom[:@]

I forgot to mention that my cousin, uncle, and I all bought raffle tickets for the National Turkey Federation (or something like that) fundraising banquet that was in Bonita Springs. My uncle won a 243 rifle.

oh yea i forgot to mention that i stuck a hook in my thumbnal to the barb then i pulled it back out and threw it over to teach it to give me respect now it will rust at the bottom of the atlantic adn teh only gator round here had a news crew all around it so i couldnt wrestle it without gertting arrested so [:'(]i ahd the plan i was gonna jump on it and use the SLEEPER HOLD and very old but good trick

Well,other then all this rain we have been getting it wasn't to bad.
Got a little snow on saturday,weird weather,seems like it will never end.

Now that turkey season is over we can ride the track again, I taught the track a thing or two, but also busted a motor mount on the XR, and almost went over the bars on a YZ, that jump taught me to show a little respect.

We also picked out a tree to build a luxurious tree stand, but something tells me that come the fall it will be little more than a pallet nailed up in the branches.

I went fishing with my father over the weekend. Fishing tournament on lake Winnipesaukee NH. Had a great time.:) We caught a nice salmon 10 minutes after the tournament had ended.[:@]I also did some stump shooting with my recurve too.

And btw I hope you don't mind me asking what happend to your leg.
