Never heard of that law Mike. In pa.All land is assumed owned by someone.and even if it aint posted you cant trespass.They teach that at the states required hunters course to get a license. I see your point,but it just wont work that way,here anyway. If someone has say 50 acres and it is not posted I bet 25 people would show up on the property on opening day. With cars parked all over the shoulders of the road causing accidents.

check to make sure the land owner hasn't given out permission for some one to hunt, if not the stand is yours.or it would be here in al.good luck.

We farm around 6,000 acres and we do not have hunting privileges on most of it, Some of it we do , but it is in the lease agreement. The landowner might have given someone permission to hunt there and put up a treestand, check and see , he might be renting it to a legit hunter, just because you farm it the owner is still the owner, We have 54 landlords and many different agreements. If the landowner doesn't know anything about it, I would knock it down and destroy it, saying nothing about it to anyone other than the landlord...
