I waswondering if anybody has used the Thermacell mosquito repellant for hunting, fishing or just sitting on the porch? How effective is it? Area?

Took mine to the rifle range yesterday. It does work. Position it upwind of your position. No noticable odors either.

So it works off of an odor? I thought it was some kind of sound that skeeters didn't like.....

RE: Skeeters

It has a butane cartridge and an insecticide (allethrin) coated mat. Both the mats and cartridges are easily replacable when they run out. Refills are available for both. No sound repellency...just a safe insecticide that vaporizes (from heat from the butane cartridge) and migrates into the air.
