Anyone seeing rubs or scrapes yet?
I live and hunt in Virginia, and on our land I have seen no sign of any rubs or scrapes. It may be the weather. Some cooler stuff is hear this weekend. I plan on Turkey hunting on Monday and looking some more. Any of you hunt in Virginia and seen any sign? Thanks for the help.

Virginia Mike
This is the first time Im posting on this board, good board. I also hunt in virginia (southhampton county)near courtland. Ive been bowhunting twice this year and we have found a few rubs and some small scrapes. They should be really starting to rub and scrape here anytime. Havent got a shot off yet but seen 3 does and jumped 2 bucks bedded together in a field. Turkeys are everywhere hoping to have one come by within range before archery season for turkey ends. going this weekend ............geo

Not me, but guys in my camp in the eastern Adirondacks of NY have come upon recently tended scrapes in the woods. We jumped the buck that we feel was responsible, shortly thereafter (as in not more than 20 minutes), but the wily buck got through our drive . . .
How did we know it was not that long ago? Well, it was raining, and the leaves were a fallin', and there were no leaves in the scrape.

Last weekend I noticed a few fresh rubs started popping up. I'm looking forward to the neighbor picking the 200 acres of corn all the buck are lazn' around in all day though!
