Ive never shot a big one with my shotgun. Not that my rifle harvests gleam either. I think it has more to do with method than weapon. I always have a rifle when stillhunt or stalk and use the shotgun for drive hunts.

I shot a good buck Gun hunting two years ago. He scored 165 7/8" Typical 10. He only dressed around 165, but mainly because he got his fair share of breeding in...and let's just say,...if he weighed a lot...it would've made me more nervous. Those are the type of deer you want to kick some genes around!
