RE: 120 or 140 grain bullet for deer in 260 Rem.?

How 'bout this, VDOT, . . . oh--BTW--welcome to the board!

Which one shoots best in your gun? Whichever one shoots best is the one that you should use, as both will do the job.

Well the velocity of this out perfroms the velocity of that bullet and penetration before expansio...blah blah blah. Test both rounds. Take your time and see which one shoots better. One will be flatter, one will shoot smaller groups, And you'll end up picking one that performs the best in the accuracy department. A bullet today will do it's job on a deer...so I don't think it will make much different (How's that for a controversial statemnet! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>)

As tailor made as the 130 grn was for the .270, If I were you I would do my derndest to find a 120 grner that would shoot well for the .260. I would do that before I even thought about resorting to a 140, but hey that's just me, everyone to their own opinion!
