DEAL or NO DEAL ?
I know a dude that just bought a brand new WSM .300, put a Leupold VIII 3.5 X 10 X 40 on it with Leupold rings and mounts........and the poor b*****d has hit hard times. Said he'd let me have the whole thing plus the case, the box, the shells for $500. I do the math and come up with a grand + ........I'm gonna do it ! I was holding out for a BDL, but this is too good to pass up. The man has NEVER pulled the trigger on it. Its not even bore sighted yet ! I'm so excited I just fell outta my chair.........

GOOD DEAL! Be carefull, some people on here get a little bit jealous when someone else gets a good deal and it isn't them. I just got a T/C Encore SS camo stocks with the muzzleloader barrel, and a brand new Leupold 3-9 and i paid $475 for it, there were a few guys on here that slammed me for it, saying i should have paid the guy more.

That is a super deal! The seller sets, or agrees after haggeling, with the price, none but the two of youshould have anything tosay as to weather it is too much or too little. Congrats!

SEE that is where you are wrong you are a lot like others on here, you need to read the whole post before you go on rambling again. He was acctually going to sell it to me a lot cheaper. And i said that.

Your above comments make it sound like we we're out of line in our comments. Not true. Not to open another can of worms but here's your original post, whichnow includes the facts of his offer of $400. It was not in the initial post you typed. If I am wrong here, I apologize. Am I? You edited your original post about an hour ago! Here's your post, note the edit date and time.... Well i think i just got a good deal, let me know what you think. A guy i know walks into the sporting goods store that i go to all the time. He has had a few strokes in the past month so i am felling really bad for this guy and he tells me that he has to sell all of his guns because he cant hardly see. So he asked me if i was interested inhis T/C Encore Stainless with the Camo stocks he knew that i wanted the gun. I .said how much??? He said he wanted$500 but since heknew me and knew that i would put itto good use he told me $400i asked him if it came with a scope and he said yeah a brand new 3-9Leupold scope on it. It is the .50 cal. muzzle loader. JimmyS and bawana are right. Your initial post in that old thread made it sound like you took advantage of that guy because he was going blind, which is why some on here (including myself) answered your post the way they did. I understand that later you made it clear that you actually knew the seller and he wasn't concerned with the money and knew you would put it to good use. That was fine and I think everyone then realized what was going on. If you had never brought that up again, I feel certain no one else would either. But then you go back and alter thingsjust to try to ????????? That's not right. BTW Texas8, sounds like you got a very good deal. What make and model is it? |
