For my first post, I wanted to share my greatest deer harvests to date. The following two pictures are of my 15 year old son's - Joe, and my 14 year old daughter's - Heather, first deer harvests.

Looks like two awesome times in a dad's life. My little bugger isn't quite 4 months old yet. He has a little way to go. There's always fishing in the mean time.

Thats great , I can remember my son's first deer like it was yesterday, It has to be the best hunt I was ever on., He just had to miss school that day to show off his buck, It was just a small 7 point and had one point broke off but it was a trophy to him. I bet I hauled it a 100 miles just so everyone could see it.

Great post! Thats what i call quality time with your kids. My 12 year old son killed his first deer (doe) last year and i was one proud dad. He's had a chance to harvest a couple of small bucks this year but passed them up and one that was bigger but it got a little to late to take the shot so he has also shown alot of patience and maturity as a hunter. I think my 2 1/2 year old daughter is going to be a hunter also she already shows alot of interest and goes scouting with me and pulls my arrows from my target and even hangs around when i'm reloading. My two kids had rather watch a good hunting video than anything else. I was fortunate to be raised in a hunting enviroment by a hunting family and hope to carry on that tradition to my kids and hopefully one day my grandkids. It just doesn't get any better than taking a kid hunting whether it's your own or somebody elses. God Bless!
