Don't laugh...two years ago I had surgery on my foot and before I was given any anesthetic the OR nurse had me initial the foot to be operated on with a Sharpie. She said that a surgeon in Florida had amputated the wrong leg on some poor guy and the initials were my surgeon's policy to cover his butt!
