Powerline....had alot of action. The other way was about 400 yards. This view is about 250 yards. Have not hunted it in a few years. Brings back memories.

Hey newguy, can I guess who shot their deer and when?

Did you shoot yours in the north field in the morning and she shot her's in the south field in the afternoon?

There is a reason to my guess. But they both look sweet to me. Actually those are the kind of set-ups I really like.

Buckhunter14's fields look ALOT like what we have, too.

Actually the opposite... My wife took hers in the morning in the south field and I took mine just before dusk in the North field. I think I can guess what you might have been thinking, but there are a lot of other "factors" which go into understanding deer movement on our property. These deer were not pressured, first day of ML'ing.

The North field historically has been busiest in the middle afternoon through dusk, the south field is ussualy busy the first couple hours after daylight and the last hour before dusk. Although it is curious we haven't had really any activity past rifle season in the area (we call the gap). This might be due to our biologic dying out, they have found an alternate food source on our "west end".

Obviously off-season, this pic is from my favorite stand, a pallet in a tree. Its in a hedgerow between the meadow in the pic and a cultivated field behind me, last year was soy, this year will be corn.
