Weight?

Hey everyone. My father shot this buck several years ago, but we never did weigh him. How much do you think this deer went? I know you can’t see the entire animal by my dad is about 6’ and the deer’s back feet were touching the ground. Thanks Tom

Nice buck Tom. I would say 180-220 range. Chest is large when you compare to your dad and the neck isn't bad. Length is good so it is a hoss.

Thanks for the replies. My dad has gotten some nice deer, most of which cam from private land here in central Connecticut. This one was taken in Andover, CT I think about 1998/9. I didn’t get to hunt much last season but I hope the genetics are still strong where I hunt. He also shot a nice 11 pt from the same stand a few years after this one. I’ll try to find a photo. Tom

Hard to tell with that kind of picture with the neck stretched out, but that is the biggest 200 pound deer I've ever seen.........I would guess a good bit more, maybe 250 or more.....
