what is the closest deer that you shot at, just wondering?
mine is 56 yard(it is my first year hunting and I olny killed 4 so far)

About one yard, almost right under my stand.

About 15 yards. I had a doe come right up to me once and smelled the bottom of my bootwhile I was sitting under a tree. That was real exciting.

10 feet-I was walking a trail and another hunter jumped him down over a bank.he ran right up the trail I was standing on.Shot him in the neck as he almost ran me down.

Closest I shot was 15 yards. About 10 years ago a doe ran an arms length away from me.

i coul have touched the biggest buck i have ever seen in my young life adn i couldnt shoot him that was the bad thing because there were houses behind him

About3 yards with my bow. A doe standing right in front of a window of my ground blind.

I was leaning over the front of my stand looking at a 115 inch 8 pointer when my arrow fell off the old tm hunter rest. Landed right next to him. When he looked up and seen me he jumped about half the height of my stand. I was just giving him a little education. The ole whisker will keep that from happening again.

I've had them close enough to club with my rifle butt while hunting on the ground! What a rushhhhhh!
I've also had 'em look up at me from the foot of ladder stands!
My closest shot was one that walked under my box blind! It DID cause 7 stiches of "scope eye," though!

I shot my doe with a rifle this year at about 17 yards. Bow-hunting I shot a few deer withing 10 yards.

While hunting with a rifle I'd say the closest way about 20yds or so.

I was Turkey hunting one day and had a deer (wild) walk up to me and smell me then nudge me with its nose, so I guess the closest Ive been to a deer is 0 inches?:D

That's why I love bowhunting! If you take a shot, the deer is most likely going to be twenty to thirty yards away. I've had two young does walk less than ten yards from a ground blind and a doe came five yards from my tripod. Pretty neat experience!

Mine was about ten feet away and I was twenty two feet in the tree. It was a nice eight pointer. It wasa big mistake in two ways. When hunting high and the deer are close you have a good chance of only getting one lung, which I did. Second, you can't just go after a deer when its still got one good lung. The deer fell down in the woods only about seventy five yards from my stand and I just got out and started to go get him, never looked up much as I walked up and when I got there he was gone! Three hours that night in the rain and two the next day taught me my firts lesson on letting the deer die and not chasing him down after the shot.

I would say 15 to 20 yards but closer to 15. The mule deer just stood there and looked at me like he was a statue.

I had a buck 2yds in front of me on the ground...just the other side of the corn row...I was sitting on a milk crate and after I shot the buck stepped within 18 inches of my foot before he took off.

Straight underneath my stand, 17 feet up a tree.12 guage slug.Saw him coming from about 150 yards and waited til he was under me.Saw the blood splatter in the snow beneath him!

15-25 yds. box stand with a shotgun. The next year I had a little doe com up to within 5 ft. of where I was sitting on the ground. I had to keep lookin away from her because i was gonna start laughing from the quizzical expression on her face.

I tagged a 5pt a few years ago at 10ft while on the ground with my bow.Closest rifle shot was about 40yds.

This guy was about 5 yards from my blind. Nice little 8-point, but too young, so I shot him with my camera... There's a doe on the ground behind him. She was about10 yards away when I popped her under the ear with my .30-06.

I shot a coyote with my bow at an arrow shafts length lured him in with a cheese sandwich(long story),and the same season i had two bull moose run past me no more then 3 yards away talk about energy i never got an arrow in either bull one of wich was a good 45 inches wide 9 feet away from two full size bulls at a dead run close enuff for me.

About 10 ft away. A buck had been jumped up by another hunter and ran towards where I was sitting undera tree. By the time I could get my .50 cal up and off safety he was already right on me. I hit him where his neck met his body and he flipped over right in front of me. I could touch him with the tip of my gun without even getting up.
