I wish he had his head up, but I think he is missing his left side.

RE: Time To Shed Hunt??

Sorry for the post. I tried to post a picture of a 1//2 rack my Cuddeback caught last week. I'm having a hard time attaching a picture to my post. jcchartboy has even tried to help via email, and I still did something wrong. I'll get it right eventually, but meanwhile its pretty frustrating for a computer idiot like myself!!!

I found a post season rifle shot deer in a wheat field with both antlers gone. Don't know if a poacher snaped them off or he shed them. I have been hearing some guys say the majority have shed and other saying they still have em.

I found a dead buck last year while shed hunting. I took the head home and stuck it ina tree to dry out. I come home one day from work and the antlers were laying on the ground and the skull was still in the tree. Has anyone ever heard of something like that before?

That's funny! Never heard/seen of that.

The deer I've seen around my house have all of their antlers on their head. I think the northern deer shed first. I read somewhere that younger bucks shed first, is this true? The spikes and small four points all have their antlers here.
