Antler Scoring Question

I posted this question in the bowhunting forum, but got mixed answers, so I'm hoping someone here might be able to staighten it out.

Basically what I am trying to figure out is how many circumference measurements does a spike buck get, and where are they.

I was always told every deer gets 4 circumference measurements (H1, H2, H3, and H4) no matter how many points it had. One between burr and G1, between G1 and G2, between G2 and G3, and again between G3 and G4. If there wasn't aG4 present you take the last one halfway along the end of the beam. Ie: On a standard 4 pt. antler, you take the last one (H4)halfway between the G3 and the beam end.

First question: Do you get 4 "H" measurements no matter how many tines there are??....Or do you only get one more than there # of tines with a max of 4? Ie:Four on a 4pt (three tines)...Three on a 3pt.....(two tines)....etc.

Second Question: If you do indeed get 4 "H" measurements, where will they be placed on a spike antler? Would you measure halfway along the beam and use that same measurement 4 times??(Example A).....Or do you take the beam length, divide by four, and use 4 different progressive measurements??(Example B)

IE: Say this is your antler:
[.................................................. ..........................................]

Would you do A)
[................................................(1 )........................................]
(2)
(3)
(4)

Or B)
[...............(1)..................(2)........... .....(3).............(4)..............]

Hope this make sence...if it doesn't let me know and I'll try to clarify.
Ohh, here's a link to the original question if you are currious...

I think it is B. But I'm not 100% sure. When in doubt, which ever way gives you the highest score wil work well.:D

Great Link...

Now How many measurements would you get B&C?

That article is wrong I believe. On a six pointer you don't measure 1/3 the 2/3 from the last point but measure half way then double the measurement. I would say on a spike you would measure one spot and count that measurement for them all.
