RE: What do you do?
It depends on to many things. What is the gun? How thick is the brush? What is my gun sighted in for? Have I shot this range with no problems? I would have have to see the situation before I could pull on a deer or pass on him. [/align] |
RE: What do you do?
Don`t know what to vote for. need more info.

RE: What do you do?
I put risk the chance of getting no deer but if the 6 by 6 was big enough i would probably try to stalk him and stab him with my machette or unload the gun lol

RE: What do you do?
I would hope I had some meat already if so I would wait on the 12.If I didn't get a deer I wouldn't starve.

RE: What do you do?
I put I would wait for the 12 pt. I don't really consider myself a trophy hunter, but if there is a chance to take a really nice buck then I am going to do everything I can to get a crack at him.
In my opinion I think that I would rather not get a deer than kill the 8 pt. and wonder what would of been if I passed on him. |
RE: What do you do?
Personally I'd pass on the 4x in hopes either the buck or I would be able to get an opportunity. It wouldn't be first season (nor the last I am sure) that I never notched my tag on buck.
If your just out for the meat than a bird in the hand is better than a flock in the bush!!! So make the call that will make you feel good. |
RE: What do you do?
I probably wouldn't shoot, cause then I'd have to do something with the deer. I'd never shoot a nice young 8 pt., because I'd rather give him another year's growth. I'd be pretty sure the 12 pt. would make the season, so I'd probably let him slide and try for him next year, also. Even if he was big this year, maybe he'll be bigger next year. I wouldn't shoot anything without a clear line of fire.

RE: What do you do?
If I already have a deer in the freezer I'd put up the halemary on the 6X6
