The Rut Under A Full Moon !
 

The rut is starting to get into swing here in Alabama and it looks like its going to happen under a full moon so I thought today I would try and outwit the Big Ol'e boy (if there is one) and hunt during the middle of the day ... I took my largest buck in 04during the end of the rut under a full moon in mid morning so what the heck think Ill try it again ... Im going to be in my stand about 9.30 and hunt until 2.30 ..Ill let you guys know if the good Doctor gets #12 ...

DD with the moon full, you've picked the golden hours, just hope the weather doesn't get to warm. but with the rut coming in, big boy doesn't care.good luck and stay ready.

id sit all day, things will pick up again after 2:30, that big hog could come out for the 4-5 primetime hours in that spot
they move in all funky hours during the rut especially with full moon, i have walked in on bucks rutting at 2:30-3 during rut so manty times around my stand
