Seeing as how I gave in and posted pics of number 11 I may as well tell the story ... I got up a little late and so by the time I got to my area and got out of the truck it was about 7.00 ...I was in my stand at 7.10 and dragging the buck out 7.25 ..it happend just that fast!

[blockquote]quote:

BHF I understand your question BUTwhy should I ..not being facetious but why should I not shoot what I want to shoot ....just because you or someone else on here does not approve? [/blockquote]

DD, I think some of the criticism on this thread may have been carried over from the thread (sick, sick, sick) where you were upset with someone for shooting a young deer (and I think it was only his 1st or 2nd in his life, and you got 10 this year), and yet you say you aren't choosy with what you shoot because you can't manage the land you hunt. I could care less what you shoot, thats just the impression that I got about it.
[/blockquote]

Bion as usual you pick and choose what you want to read ...first of all as the "sick SICK SICK" post explainedhe was a guest on the property ...he was a 35 year old grown man NOT a child..I gave himCLEAR instructions as to what not to shoot ...the deer he shot might have weighed 40 lbs ...and had you read ALL this thread you would have seen where I am "choosy" as I do not shoot yearlings ...button bucks or doe's with their yearlings ... I do not mind you posting your opinion but have all the facts in hand before you make a remark ...

dd

DD, please reread my post. I was telling you the impression I got as to why you were getting a hard time about shooting a young buck, that being that you were upset with someone else for shooting a young deer on your property.... I have stated more than once I don't care what you shoot or anyone else for that matter, we all hunt for our own reasons...

So don't get defensive with me, and "have all the facts in hand before making a remark"...

I will not be posting a picture of this buck simply because it is not a "trophy" and I do not want to be reported to the "trophy police" on here

dd
Hahaha, am I the only one who found that amusing?! Great job! I haven't killed that many deer in my life and you can get them in one season! That's pretty lucky! But then again, seeing the animals makes my hunt. Congradulations

Holy cow!
Is it11 now? Well I better hurry to congratulate you before you bag another one! That was an odd set of antlers. Worth of showing for sure!

And as discussed earlier I absolutely agree that it requires a large piece of land to be able to do proper deer managment. I found that NY Bow made a good point when stating that with good neighbors it can be done even for smallholdersand I see it sometimes, rarely. It is a really hard blow however to find out that even one neighbor is not a good one.

So congrats again!:)
