I voted both. I want my next buck to be bigger than my previous buck. However, if I have a tag for a doe, I will put some meat in the freezer.

I would like to throphy hunt but if I don`t put meat in the freezer my wife won`t let me in the house. I`ll go with meat and if it`s a trophy it`s a bonus.:D;):)

Both, but my hands are tied in many ways because I don't have the choice many of you have. Ontario is one tag per hunter/year, theres a lottery to see if its an antlerless tag so if I don't get drawn I can't shoot a doe "instead of a small buck", if I pass on the small buck and a big one doesn't come along Iget skunked for the season.

There are a few archery only areas that we can buy additional tags for, but you have to know someone with land, and our smaller populations mean less big bucks too.

I am both depending on the location, time of year and circumstance, I like to eat venison, but love to hunt so I try to balance the two.

well.. i have only taken 4 bucks in my 6 years of hunting. the biggest being a 3x3 so i would consider myself more so a meat hunter. i only drew one buck tag this year and that was with a bow. and it was my first year bow hunting. but i have so far been lucky enough to take 5 does. doesnt matter to me either way. if i abig buck presents a shot i will try to take it. if not im happy just seeing deer. plus i havent found a way to make horns taste good

on average I usally shoot two does a year, but I will hold off until the very last day of bow season to shoot a nice mature buck. i refuse to take the small guys, let them go and they will grow is my modo. plenty of does running around for meat. if i get nothing by Jan. 31st of this year, it will be 3 yrs since I've shoot a nice buck or a buck in general.

I'm going to say trophy only. Because I don't harvest smaller bucks, but would rather them pass and shoot a doe instead. I think a doe is more of a trohy than a young buck. JMO
I agree, if you're on your land/lease let those small bucks go/grow...if you're on public land, I guess you hold out and take what you can...

Ifyou're on your land/lease I think you should let the small ones go/grow.....now if you're hunting public land I guess you take what you can considering whats out there....
