RE: bedding area
The only way to truly know if it is a bedding area is to find the deer beds. This can be easier said than done. Sometimes you can just wander upon a bed and other times you really have to look closely. Look for an oval spot where the leaves are compacted. Usually it is two to three feet across. Next look for signs of deer hair. You must get down close and look at individual hairs to see if it is a deer hair. Once you find the bedding area be very careful and don't overhunt the area, and force them somewhere else. Good Luck finding them.
