RE: When is the rut in VT?
According to the data I have from biologists in VT and NH, peak breeding should be Nov. 11-13 in VT; and Nov. 10-20 in NH.
Nov. 11-13 sounds a little too specific, and since you're right next door use Nov. 10-20 for VT too. Some does typically start coming into estrus about a month before peak breeding in northern states, and breeding will probably continue until late December or later. So, the breeding period will run from approximately Oct. 15- Dec. 31. If you have more questions post a new topic here, addressed to T.R., or e-mail me. I'll try to help. RE: When is the rut in VT?
Usually mid November. Weather ususally dictates what you will see though. When it is warm, like last year, most movement and chasing is at night.
