Well, I'm about one mile off main. I'm sitting in an oak tree with about 15 sour orange trees all around me.I'm at Orange Lake.{ A swamp with orange trees }LOLI always hear hogs busting through the palmettos but they won't come out. I only found one other hunter's tacks in there besides mine.and his ae rusty.I'll be out there again tomorrow. Lot's of coyotes out there too. Sooner or later Mr. and Mrs. Hog will try sneaking past my stand. When they do BOOM!!;)

Chuck, those oranges are probablly Sour Stock and make the best Merinade for Wild Pork!:)I took a 10pt buck sitting in an oak treeat Citrus WMA, back in 1992.
What I did was tie a 25ft parachute cord to the seat part of myTree Lounge and then to my waist, climbed the tree, pulled it upand attached it to the branch I wanted!

Good grief....you have more guts than I do. 12 feet is as high as I will go period. That's a monster buck for FL.I drew an early hunt for Citrus and gave it away. It was the same time I wen tto MO. Is Citrus as hard to hunt as the Green Swamp. I also hear Croom is good. I'm sure you have been to both. Which did ya like better.? I haven't been to either one yet.

Citrus use to be alright back then, but between Archery and BlackPowder season your chances are slim for General GunSeason!:)All the roads in Citrus run asifit was once going to be a huge homesubdivision.
As for Croom, I know a guy here in tampa that was in the FLA.Fish & Wildlife Magazine with his Croom 12pt about 7yrs ago. I have only been to croom 2 times in my life and did'nt care for it!
