Lunar tables explaination

Will someone explain the Lunar tables for me. I assumed that under a new(bright moon) that deer would feed more at night due to the fact of having more light. But according to a lunar chart for hunting and fishing it is the opposite.

RE: Lunar tables explaination

the lunatr tables are actually quite simple the first moon after the autumnal equinox is the pre rut moon and the secon one is the rutting moon. bucks start to feel the urge after the first one and the second starts the real rut..well more or less.. in betwwen these too moons is the opre rut and after the second one startd the real rut then the third full moon begins the post rut..the moonlight signals the does estrous levels..so on those full moon nights buck activity is hott...many scientists disagree about how the moons make deer behave during the day but they do kno how the the moon coordinates the rut this is all my theory based upon lots of reading of charles alsheimer, grant woods, and many other deer authorties

Perhaps you are looking at it upside down!:D
A new moon, is no moon at all!

I don't know how or why they work but I know that there is alot of truth behind them. I don't think it is driven by the rut much it is a feeding time. Morning and evening is always the common feeding time but the times that the tables provide will increase your deer sightings for a given time of day.
