like was said earlier, you lose a lot from blood shot meat, and also a lot of the meat is filled with that sinew and ribbon stuff that can't be used

I bone and trim mine and probably get 1/4 of deers weight IF there us no big shot damage.

50 % is a rough rule of thumb.

Greg, it depends, some pepole save the,brains,tongue,liver, heart, kidneys,Tripe,hocks and tail. All you should lose is the MOOOO!:)
