My first deer
 

I just want to say it only took me 5 years to get my first deer. But the persistance def. payed off. I now have a freezer full of some meat, and a couple of horns to remember it all.

I hunt in oklahoma, I was using a 7mm, got him about 60 yards away. I got to my stand at 645. Shot him about 730. Cant beat that in 20 degree weather. :D

Nice deer. I guess I got lucky it took me about 2 years. I couldn't stand those 2 yet alone 5 or 6 years. Way to stick with it. Mine was a little 4 point. Dummy me left my antlers on the back porch and the tree rats got to them. They about chewed one of the point off. Lesson learned TREE RATS LIKE ANTLERS.

Way to go....this is the best deer you could have shot. I know of a couple of guys that shot monster bucks their first time out. And they never went back.
