This is awesome. I can't wait to see the end result of that case anyway. Obviously the owner will get Goliath back, but will he also get his progeny back as well? Why should someone else get his genetics right?

Its nice to see they are using DNA as a tool now. There was another guy here in Ohio besided the one mentioned in the article that was cited for poaching. He and his brother were both cited for it after DNA concluded that a deer found in a woods matched DNA that was in the meat in the guys freezer. I just wish there was a harsher sentence for poachers. Hell for all I car take away there license and put a ban on them buying or possessing guns. I know it wouldnt be hard since in most states you have to have a background check in order to purchase a gun.

Goliath died almost 2 years ago.He is trying to sue for the semen that the deer produced and they sold to other ranchers and the offsprings of goliath.Well over million$. I seen goliath in person and he would be in the top 3 of the world record or even the world record if he wasn't stolen cause the people who took him didn't feed him the right minerals to reach hi max growth. But the dna to catch hunters poaching is nuts and just shows you that deer are gonig to be like people now when it comes to a death, That s BS
