2nd rut in the midwest

We should be getting close to the second rut in the midwest, if not right now! Does anyone have any ideas/tactics I should follow? This has been a strange year and I have never had to bow hunt this late in the season. I look forward to it because it is new but I will be freezing my can off! What can I expect, how should I prepare, and what should I do?

What state and how much snow you got, and terrain?

since its a rut, use a drag rag and walk it right to your stand, that will get a buck on line for your stand. also you some grunt calls or rattles to see if there are any agressive, dominant bucks in the area.

I was hunting in Minnesota this weekend, where the second rut was supposed to be happening. All I did was short grunts with a mature buck call every 30 min. or so and I brought in 3 decent buckstogether, which confused me because I thought the second rut was going on here too. Seeing them grouped together like that was the last thing I thought I would see.

Tinks 69 sounds like it's working great around here. This morning on my way to work, I saw a nice buck running a doe, so it must still be on here.

Have see a real nice 8 pointer the past few nights in a food plot with some does, so it might be kicking in a little here.
