BEST EVER GROUND BLIND!!!
This is one of the best ideasI have ever had for a deer ground blind.I took many bails of hay that I purchased from a local farmer andI built a ground blind out of them in the middle of a soy bean feild. for the roofI used a sheat of ply wood and then put som hay on top of that. not only does it keep the wind off of you but it really muzzles your sounds so you dont have to sit perfectly still and queit.I have been in there when deer walk 3 yards in front of it and they dont even see me. in only 2 years of useI have harvested a 7 point,a small 10 point,a spike, a doe, and a button buck.

Not to hijack the thread but another good blind is when you take some pvc pipe and build a cube out of it. Then you take some corn stalks and and put them up about 2 inches apart and set it up on a corner or where ever there was standing corn.
Never really thought about using straw but I guess it would really work.
